Marco Siccardi is Senior Lecturer in Pharmacology and is the lead for experimental pharmacology and computational modelling in a broad range of interdisciplinary and multicomponent projects (funded by EDCTP, UNITAID, US NIH, EPSRC, EC, USAID, pharmaceutical and charitable funders). His primary research objective is to improve therapies for patients, specifically to optimise novel pharmacological strategies to aid in the treatment of infectious diseases through an active, innovative and interdisciplinary research agenda, integrating a range of advanced tools including computational models for the prediction of pharmacokinetics. His research interests incluyde the characterisation of molecular processes underpinning drug and nanomedicine distribution based on pharmacological data from in silico, in vitro and in vivo models, aiming to improve pharmacokinetics, efficacy and side effects.
