Sponsor Profile
Steven Lane - Statistics
Steven Lane is Lecturer in Medical Statistics. His main research interest is in pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics modelling. The data obtained from these models can then be used in two ways.
- To estimate personalised dosing regimens using stochastic control algorithms, to determine the optimum dose to achieve a required target, for example, plasma concentration. The overall aim is to improve the effectiveness and safety of the drug.
- To estimate the economic cost of specific drug regimens based on their pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamics profiles and to investigate the added cost of compliance/non-compliance on the cost/effectiveness of treatments.
