Nigel Cunliffe is Professor of Medical Microbiology. He research interests focus on the epidemiology, treatment and prevention of diarrhoeal disease in children, in particular that caused by rotavirus. He leads a longstanding programme of diarrhoeal disease research in Malawi, and Co-Directs the Centre for Global Vaccine Research at the University of Liverpool.
