Miren Iturriza-Gomara is Professor of Virology with an interest in enteric infections, virus evolution and persistence in the population. She is a theme leader in the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in gastroenteritis and PI on a Newton Fund supported tripartite project with India and Malawi aiming to understand why rotavirus vaccines are less efficacious in the populations at greatest risk.
