Prudence Wong is Professor of Computer Science. Her research interests are on design of algorithms, combinatorial optimisation with applications to bioinspired problems. Examples of work include computational analysis of DNA and protein sequences, pattern searching and matching, network modelling of biological processes (e.g., species invasion process), computational analysis of health related data, etc. These have connections to the four MRC SDF priority areas, e.g., pattern matching / group testing for stratified medicine, network analysis for infection, sequence analysis for regenerative medicine, and bug data analysis for health care.
