Katie Atkinson is Chair and Head of Department of Computer Science. Her research concerns computational models of argument, which falls within the general area of artificial intelligence. A particular focus of Katie’s research is AI and Law. She is interested in developing formal models of legal reasoning and demonstrating how these can be used in automated reasoners and decision support tools for legal practitioners.
