Matthew Baylis - Infection

Matthew Baylis is an epidemiologist and vector biologist, with a particular interest in understanding and predicting how climate change and climate variability has affected vector-borne diseases in the past, and how climate change will affect disease incidence and spread in the future. His research team (Liverpool University Climate and Infectious Diseases of Animals (LUCINDA) group) specialises in developing mathematical models of the dynamics of vector-borne diseases under past, present and future climate conditions. He is also the lead of the new GCRF capacity building project, One Health Regional Network for the Horn of Africa (HORN) which is developing research partnerships in Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia.
