Vitaliy Kurlin - Computer Science
Vitaliy Kurlin is Senior Lecturer in Computer Science. He develops data analysis methods for Materials Science, Computer Vision and Climate. His main research area is Topological Data Analysis (TDA), which quantifies persistent structures hidden in unorganised data such as point clouds, which allows us to visualise and explore a high-dimensional dataset as a network of interconnected clusters. The potential applications in pharmaceutical industry are automatic tools for analysing atomistic simulations at microscale.
